Professional History: After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1985, Mr. Sands practiced with the law firms of Shearman & Sterling in New York City and Greenburg Traurig in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before joining the U.S. Department of Justice as a trial attorney focusing on the prosecution of tax and financial crimes. He returned to private practice in Central Florida in 1994. He has served on the nine-member Advisory Committee on the Local Rules for the Middle District of Florida, and as a member of the Federal Magistrate Judge Selection Committee for the Orlando Division of the Middle District of Florida. He has received an "AV" rating from the Martindale-Hubble National Legal Directory.
